How To Craft A Vision For Your Life
Associates,In this issue, we are discussing vision. King Solomon said it best: “Without vision, the people will perish…” (prov. 29:18a). Read on to learn the advice I was given to craft a vision and action plan that changed my life so that you can change yours and pursue what you desire most. As cheezy and cliche as this sounds, it is more powerful than you may realize. I underestimated the power of the exercise discussed, and when I took action on it, I was blown away by its fruit... and to this day, I am reaping the benefits. DON'T MISS THIS. BURN EVERYTHING TO THE GROUNDI sat in awe as my long-time friend and newly hired real estate coach shared these words with me on our first coaching call one October afternoon… I had just walked through one of the most painful experiences of my life: a breakup. Amidst that pain, or rather, as a result of that pain, I had chosen to set a course to learn a skillset I had always dreamed of: real estate investing. This was the biggest investment into my personal education that I had ever made in my life, and all of it went straight onto my 0% credit card. I needed to aim at something, to change the direction of my life and finally commit to taking action towards my dreams. I needed to burn the ships. So I did. ”BURN EVERYTHING TO THE GROUND.” ”Put everything on paper, regardless of how crazy or impossible it seems. EVERYTHING goes on paper. All your dreams, desires, everything that you can think of,” he said. It was such an intense way of putting it… but illustrated his point: You have to be honest with yourself, allow yourself to feel what you truly desire, and then actually give yourself permission to want it… Because until you can be honest about what you desire, and put it on paper… …What are you even working for anyway? I got to work. Interestingly, though I am a visionary at heart, this exercise did more for me than I ever thought possible. By the time we got on our next call, I had written thousands of words. It was a lot. I felt uncomfortable because there was so much… It seemed absurd… totally outside the realm of possibility. Yet I had this sense of clarity that I hadn’t experienced before… Because I was honest. I allowed myself to desire, and I gave that desire the honor and recognition of putting it down on paper.
